Alicia Silverstone gained fame for her role in “The Crush”. It won her the 1994 MTV Movie Award for "Best Villain" and "Breakthrough Performance". This film caught the attention of Aerosmith, who hired her to appear in a string of their music videos. She then achieved uber-fame for her role as a ditzy rich kid looking for love in “Clueless.”
