The Bloody Sock

No, that’s not the punchline to a “What does Paris Hilton do when she is menstruating?” joke. (Though it should be)

I’m referring to the Curt Schilling Bloody Sock from Game 6 of the 2003 ALCS that has disgustingly reemerged as the #1 sports story in recent days. Curt himself wrote a lengthy post about it on his blog. Hopefully that ends the ridiculous coverage this non-story has been receiving over the past two days. ESPN is rapidly turning into TMZ and I’m not happy about it.
